The highlight of my stay at The Herring House was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a part of the family. The hosts were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They even provided a mobile phone for my use during my stay, which was a pleasant surprise.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my trip to Iceland. the location on the hilltop provided stunning views of the mountains and the harbor below. It was truly a treat to wake up to such beautiful scenery every morning. Additionally, the rooms on the first floor, where the hosts live, were well-appointed with all the necessary facilities and amenities. The fully outfitted kitchen was a convenient perk, especially for guests looking to prepare their own meals. Another highlight was the delicious breakfast with homemade bread, which was a delightful way to start the day.

During our stay, we found a fantastic guesthouse located close to the town center, surrounded by many restaurants and famous attractions. The comfortable room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had a modern bathroom with plenty of space and amazing amenities. The breakfast was delicious, and the host was beyond amazing.

There was some noise in the evenings from the street traffic that was a bit bothersome.

The location was great, with easy access to a nearby hiking trail. the view from my room of the snow-covered mountains was breathtaking.

My overall experience was negatively impacted by the lack of cleanliness in my room. the bed linens were stained, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and there was dust on the furniture.

Beautiful Views and Warm Hospitality

My partner and I had the most romantic escape at this guesthouse. The stunning views from our room were breathtaking and we enjoyed waking up to them every morning. The hosts' warm hospitality made our stay even more special. We were delighted to find home-made cookies and pastries in our room every day. The guesthouse is located in a charming town with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, which we loved exploring.

We had such a wonderful stay that we cannot think of any negative aspects to mention. We highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway.
